R334 GTST Wide Arch Fabrication and Build

Welcome to my blog! My name is Terry and I have owned an R33 GTST now for 10 years and seen my car go through many changes. Now I have decided to go the whole way and have the body transformed into an R334 GTR front end conversion. For this conversion we need to transplant all the front parts of the GTR accross to the R33 GTST. Fullyloadedcars are building the car for me with a little help from other suppliers. Follow this blog for regular updates.

Filling the gap between the new wing and chassis

At the moment we are make the nsr wing so that they both match
it all being hand made so it takes a lot of time to beat them into the same shape
beacause the wings are round but they look straight a lot of heat shrinking

Next picture from yesterday, the rear wheel arch is taking on the shape nicely now.

Once we happy with both wings we will paint them inside before welding them in place.

R33 Rear arch fabrication

Prototype rear arch being fabricated out of metal not fiberglass.

Rear wide arch template

Firstly made out of cardboard and taped on to the body to get the desired shape.

Trial fitting of the rear diffuser

We received the rear bumper and diffuser and trial fitted the parts to the Skyline. As we are adding a wide arch to the car we needed to cut the bumper and create spats to mold in.

R334 Wide arch begins

Here the strip begins with the removal of the rear bumper and tail lights. The Skyline will be painted a different colour white so the shell needs to be prepped and all rust treated.
